More fun on the north shore

These are some houses in Mandeville either on lake shore drive or a block or two off. I heard some man pronounce it Mandavee.

This is the largest Magnolia tree I have ever seen.

Old house showing some scars from Katrina. All of these houses had storm surge.

This is the Southern Living Idea Home in the Terrabella Subdivision of Covington. We toured it.

This is the Tchefuncte River (cha-funk-ta).

Girl on Boardwalk.

For lunch we ate at the Rusty Pelican. Very good. All the shops along the shore have been renovated after Katrina. For dinner we ate at Zeas. For dinner, Lisa had thin fried catfish. Pat had grilled redfish smothered in shrimp etoufee. Good stuff.
On to The Woodlands tomorrow.
