Leaving Tugaloosa...
That's what one of the kids used to call it. After almost 22 years, Tuscaloosa was/is home. A great place to raise kids. But you do what you got to do. The packers showed up at 9 Monday morning and finished up at 10PM. Larry the truck driver showed up at 715 Tuesday morning. He and his helpers put the last piece of our junk on the truck at 4 and we hit the road, stopping in Brandon for some chicken nuggets at Wendy's. I couldn't eat 4 in a row at McDonald's. We got to Shreveport around 11PM. The last 100 miles we dodged lightning, hail and a tornado. Lisa thought we were going to die in tornado, hydroplane or whatever. We saw more rain than Midland gets in a year. Halle does not know what the heck is going on. She stayed on the bed all night, afraid to jump off. On to Midland. Here are some pictures of the packing.
