We finally made it to a high school football game, the Maroon uniformed Midland Lee Rebels. The band played Dixie, the fans rang cowbells. It was good entertainment, a nice family atmosphere. The Rebels were pounding the Sandies from Amarillo 26-10 when we left in the 4th quarter. A Sandie is a dust devil. So we thought we were chasing dust devils, but we were really chasing Sandies.
It has cooled off nicely in Midland. And we've had rain two of the last three days. The grass is greening up some. We went to a pot luck dinner Sunday night with the Sunday school class. All most all the men there were in the oil business.
