A splendid Saturday out west.

We went to the Farmer's Market this morning.  Only 15 - 20 vendors. We went for okra and got that.  We also bought some cookies and a brownie.  They said we could bring the cookies back if we didn't like them.  I ate them all, they were good.  Then we went to Albertson's looking for sausage.  They don't sell Conecuh sausage out here, we are testing substitutes.  That is the worst non-human thing about living in Midland.  We are trying to get HEB to carry it.  If you have time, drop them an email (customer.relations@heb.com ) and beg them to start selling Conecuh brand sausage in their Midland store.

This Weber grill is the best grill I have ever owned. Very basic, but starts every time and has good even heat.  Halle is listening for something on the other side of the gate.

After it rains, we end up with a lot of dirt on the patio.  It washes off the roof.  Halle walks through it and leaves dusty paw prints on the stained concrete inside.

We are getting an estimate for some xeriscaping .  In this photo, grass would stay on the right side of the edging, rock, boulders and plants on the left side.

Grass on the left, rocks etc. on the right.

Grass in the middle.

Lunch off the Weber.

Halle hoping for some food to fall off the grill.

A rattlesnake was killed the other day a few doors down.  Not this one, but it probably looked similar.  The people were moving in that day.  It was curled up in the back yard, rattling.
