Road trip to Lubbock.

We drove up to Lubbock today and did some Christmas shopping.  They have gotten most of the cotton out of the fields.  The drive to Lubbock is like driving through the Mississippi delta, except for all the pump jacks and drilling rigs.  Blue skies and bright sunshine all day.

Those trees are planted like that to break wind.

This cotton field has been cleared out.  The trees on the horizon are home sites, surrounded by the trees breaking wind.

Some fall colors in Lubbock.

Geese hanging around man made pond in Lubbock.

Lisa loves these two stores.  We have a target in Midland though.

Lunch at Rosa's Cafe.  Chocolate cake to go.

When we got back we found out the Bushes had been in Midland today, dedicating the Bush Tennis Center.  Maybe they will come to church on Sunday.
