Say Good Bye

We fly home tomorrow. We want to start off by thanking little E for house and dog sitting. She also is taking care of herself. She text messaged us just before the show started that she was running 102 degree fever. We love her and hope she is feeling better. If you want to, call her and check on her. We woke up this morning and had pastries, fruit, coffee and juice out on the front porch. We sat around a little while and then drove down to the 16th St. outdoor mall. Its old downtown, with a lot of the old buildings restored as new shops and lofts, condos etc. And a Starbucks on every corner. Pat did not know how good those Strawberry and Cream Frappachino are. LoDo is pretty interesting. That’s lower downtown for those of you in LA. We had lunch at a Johnny Rockets. Hamburgers and fries. Then we went on a tour of the Colorado History Museum. We spent from 10:30 AM till 3:30 PM walking around the mall area. Then we came back to the room and took a nap sort of. Someone downstairs was playing the player piano. Then we got up and went and ate at PF Changs. Good stuff they got there. Our favorite part of the trip was the Dave Mathews Band concert. Pat saw the Allman Brothers open the superdome, Jackson Brown and Phoebe Snow in the Jackson auditorium, we both saw Boz Skaggs at Old Miss, Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor at MSU, ZZ Top, Billy Joel, Dan Fogleburg, Faith and Tim and that’s all I can think of now and this was by far the best show we’ve ever been to. We are thinking about quiting our jobs and following the band all over the country. So besides the concert, Lisa’s favorite part of the trip was seeing the Maroon Bells. Pat’s favorite part was eating.

See you all soon.
