Land of Enchantment

That is the state motto.

We drove to Birmingham on Tuesday night so we would only have to get up at 4 AM to catch our 6:20AM flight. The hotel was on I-65 so we heard cars zooming by all night and the fan wouldn't stay on so neither of us slept well. We had a connecting flight through Dallas and arrived in Albuquerque about 10:30AM. We had lunch at a place called Papadoux's. It's a chain Pat had eaten at in Denver. Lisa had fried sampler plate with fried crawfish, shrimp and catfish. Pat had linguini with crawfish, andouwee sausage and shrimp. It was all good. Pat left his coat at home so we bought a fleece at REI. We got on the road to Gallup about 12:30. The drive was pretty windy. Lisa saw a heard of buffalo. Pat saw a heard of bushes. We pulled into the hotel about 2PM. We are staying at a Hampton. See the view out our window. We were wore out so we took a nap. Then we went looking for a drug store but couldn't find one so we went to the Safeway. At 6PM we met up with Bob, Cheryl and John and went to dinner at Grandpas Grill. See picture. Lisa had quesadillas and Pat had cheese enchiladas with onions and green chille. It was very good.
