Birds in flight

The bluebirds are still spending a lot of time in the yard. Lisa put some suet out and they visit that. While the male eats, the female patiently stands guard. Imagine that. Here is a picture of the male in flight, belly full.

Lisa hung a hummingbird feeder Sunday after lunch. Within an hour a hummingbird appeared.

Lisa spotted a Summer Tanager on the fence out back. This is what it looked like. (Lisa did not take this picture)

Erin came and ate dinner with us Sunday night. Pat grilled fabulous hamburgers. Lisa and Erin said they had never had better burgers in their lives. After Erin left, Pat and Lisa sat out on the back porch and watched the sun set. As it went down, we noticed a half dozen bats flying around. This is what they looked like. (We did not take this picture)

Thursday, Pat and Lisa are heading to Gulf Breeze to visit Joanna. We will stay there till Sunday and then go see Drew and Lauren in Dothan. We will probably put some pounds on. Erin will stay at our house with Halle. Erin misses Jack.
