Happy Mother's Day!!!

This was our Mother's Day Eve dinner. The recipe comes from freshmarket.com. It is talapia almondine, roasted broccoli and baked potato. For desert, we had Publix frozen chocolate chunks and cherries yogurt. We agreed it was the best fish we had ever cooked in the oven. If you come see us you might get to eat some of it.

Pat worked in the yard all day. He trimmed the shrubs in the front yard and replaced the mulch with shredded pine bark. Since Lisa likes to celebrate Mothers Day the whole weekend, she pretty much goofed off all day. While doing this, she discovered this blooming oak leaf hydrangea out in the woods. There are some other ones out there also. There is a lot going on out there in the woods.

The female blue bird laid eggs a couple weeks ago but we had not seen much of either lately. There are 5 blue eggs in the house, but they are probably not going to hatch. The birds did show up today though. They spent a lot of time going in and out of the house. Maybe they'll lay some more. Here is the male in the bird bath.

Here are the two of them. Halle doesn't like birds in the yard, so she chased them off.

While we were out on the back porch, this giant lizard showed up. It was about two feet long.
