Pat and Lisa took off for the final
DMB shows of the year, at The Woodlands, TX on Friday night and the fairgrounds in Dallas on Saturday night. We stopped off in
Covington, LA for a couple nights. We can't pronounce any of the street names around here. For dinner, we ate at
Mandina's We each had the Grilled Speckled Trout
Almondine. It was good. For desert we had Bananas Foster Bread Pudding with a scoop of ice cream on top. If the
Champlins lived in
Covington they might get fat.
We were watching the news from a New Orleans station tonight. They were talking about the Mississippi Rebels game with Tulane this weekend. The female newscaster said Tulane should cheer "beat the nut". She was kind of goofy.
Here are some pictures taken on
Lakeshore Drive in
Mandeville, on the north shore of Lake
Ponchatrain. There are quite a few of these houses across the street from the lake. Some huge oak trees too.
