It only took 4 hours and 15 minutes to drive from Ft. Worth to Midland. That plus 9 hours yesterday means 13 hours and 15 minutes total from Tuscaloosa to Midland. Ten hours and 15 minutes from Jackson to Midland. The trees get shorter the further west you drive. The weather in Midland was forecast to be blowing dust today but instead it was light wind, blue skies and 82 degrees. I drove by the house and the grass had greened up some. It cools down quickly as the sun sets.
Here is our backyard tree.
The grass in the front yard was greener. Still no landscaping. Hope to close this week.
It seemed like there were as many windmills as oil wells along the way.
Tomorrow is my first day on the new job. I hope I don't forget my glasses.

That means 21 hours and 15 minutes from Charlotte to Midland.
There IS however a Midland, North Carolina and it only takes 35 minutes to get there from Charlotte. Dad, are you sure they moved you to the right Midland?
