The Cancun Grill and other lagniappe from MIdland.

Last night we had dinner at the Cancun Bar and Grill.  It is located downtown on the first floor of an old office building.  Imagine the old Standard Life Building.  It was very good and may be our first favorite restaurant in Midland.  Lisa had the seafood trio.... Lobster, Crab Cake and Shrimp.  Pat had Rib Eye Steak Fajitas.  For dessert Lisa had Tres Leches Cake.  Pat had Chocolate Kalua Cake.  If you come to Midland we might take you to this establishment.

Earlier in the day Halle got her rattlesnake booster vaccine.  We have not seen any rattlesnakes in our yard.  Our lawn looks horrible though.  Maybe snakes don't like dead grass.  I think I over fertilized it.

We have been visiting 1st Methodist Church.  We went to our first Sunday School class this morning.   Chevron is drilling a well on some minerals owned by the church.  I recently took some folks from the church on a tour of the rig.  Lee Greenwood is coming on 9/11.

Some dust devils have been going through the neighborhood lately.  They sound like a truck going by.

Another fun thing we do in Midland, TX is go to the Summer Lawn Concert series at the Museum of the Southwest. We are going tonight for sure.

Here is an ant carrying a sunflower seed across the driveway.

The high Tuesday is going to be 107.  I have to meet with a rancher that morning.
