We have our first visitors at the ranch. Drew and Lauren arrived Thursday evening. We went straight to Murray's Deli for dinner. Friday morning we went on a tour of the town. We had lunch at Alldredge Gardens. We ate healthy lunches but oinked out on Black Forest cake for dessert. After lunch the men napped, the women shopped. For dinner, we had some fine filets, cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon and roasted new potatoes. This morning Pat, Lisa and Lauren toured the Sibley Nature Center. Interesting. Hot too.
Here are some pictures from the tour:
Soccer games across from the center and a picture of the famous Midland water tank.
The top of a blooming tree.
The ladies. The Hispanic Cultural Center is near by.
This is the trail. If Midland did not exist, this is what it would look like.
After the tour, we went to Martenez Mexican bakery. We got all this for $5. It looks better than it tasted. After lunch we are going to watch "The Help". For dinner we are going to Cancun Grill. Drew is trying to fit daily workouts in while we are here. Maybe one day he will be able to beat me in a race.
