Blowin dust....

or "overcast with haze" is what the NWS calls it. The wind blew all night, 35 mph gusts. We signed up with a security service last night. The sales lady, Sue, told us the problem was we were so close to Juarez, Mexico and the drug smugglers.  Lisa dreamed about Mexican cartels and drug lords. I wondered if the blowing wind was a Mexican sliding up the bathroom window at times. Sue also told us to always watch out for rattle snakes out here and recommended we not wear flip flops outside and inspect the yard before letting the dog out.  I think we're going to buy a gun.  Or two.  Sue always has two with her and three laying around the house.  She suggested a hammerless pistol.  She also suggested Red Lobster for seafood.

Halle is settling in. She barks when we open the kitchen drawers, sounds like thunder in the distance I guess. We need to have a desensitizing session.  She also forgot how to jump off the bed, so that's where she sleeps all night.  She has to be helped off the bed in the morning.

We cooked dinner last night for the first time. Pesto marinated chicken on the GF grill and brown rice. Buffalo steak tonight.

I had a copper head in my backyard about ten days ago. Had to wait for the maintenance man to come to work on Monday (3 days) to kill it. I check before I let Lili out there now.
