Day 7

We decided to drive back up to the Taos Ski Valley and see if the colors had changed more. This is a picture of the Rio Hondo river that the road parallels.

The aspens up here are taller and have bigger trunks than those we've seen in Colorado.

Good color here.

This is an old structure we saw near Arroyo Seco. On our way up some guy was painting a picture of it.

We came on back around noon and ate in our casa. Then we went back up to plaza area and ..... shopped. After that we went back to the open air coffee shop and had raspberry lemonades and looked at people. Then we came back to the casa and packed up. We went back to Graham's Grill for dinner. Lisa had a Cobb Salad, Pat had fried trout. For desert, Lisa had cherry tart, Pat had mango coconut cake. It was all delicious.
Tomorrow we will leave Taos about 8 AM and drive on down to Albuquerque. We plan to ride the Sandia Peak Tramway and eat lunch up on top of the mountain. We catch a flight to Denver at 430 and then to B'ham about 630, so we'll have a long day tomorrow. We'll do a wrap up Saturday, but we have really had a good time out here.
