Then we came to Red River. This is a little ski town. Very different atmosphere from Taos. Not so much hispanic/indian influence.
We got some aspen pictures near there.
From there we drove through Eagles Nest, then to Angel Fire. Just before there we stopped at a Vietnam War Memorial. It was very nicely done and interesting. It was founded by the father of a soldier that was killed in action.
We ate lunch in Angel Fire at Jebediah's. We both had soup and salad. The enchanted circle had some beautiful scenery, as pretty as we've seen in Colorado. When we got back to Taos, we drove a short way down the High Road. More interesting scenery. When we got back to Taos, we stopped at the Catholic Church, St. Francisco de Asis.
For dinner we ate at the Old Blinking Light. Lisa had Chicken Tortilla soup with Cesar Salad. Pat also had the soup with a sirloin steak salad. For desert we had a Cinnamon Chocolate cake garnished with Taos Cow Pinon Caramel ice cream. It was all good.
Did not get any good sunset pics, but here are some other pics from the day:
The hot tub is very relaxing. We might have to get one of those.
