In Santa Fe

We made it to Santa Fe in 7 hours despite getting lost before we got out of Midland and having to turn around and go back to get gas in Roswell, NM.  We also stopped and ate lunch while we were in Roswell.  The drive was flat and straight most of the way, till we were about an hour south of Santa Fe.   When we got to town we walked around the plaza for awhile.  Looks like the place will be filled up this weekend.

This is a picture of the McDonald's we ate at in Roswell.  The play area is a UFO.  Apparently a UFO crashed in Roswell.  UFO paraphernalia all over that town.  Other than that it was a nice little town.

This is a view of the fire in the mountains above Santa Fe taken from our hotel parking lot.

For dinner, we ate at Harry's Roadhouse.   This place was suggested by a coworker that plans to retire to Santa Fe.  It was a joint off the beaten path.  Supposedly part of the Wild Hogs movie was filmed in the joint.  The food was good.

Lisa had Grilled Salmon tacos.

Pat had Blue Corn Turkey Enchiladas.  Whoa.

You can spend a lot of time in the bathroom after a meal like that.
